Manchester United boast a very impressive record when playing at Old Trafford in the final Premier League game of the year.

The Red Devils will round off 2024 with a visit from Newcastle United on Monday evening.

December has been miserable for Manchester United fans, who have already watched their side lose five times this month. Defeat to Newcastle would match an unwanted record that spans back to Sir Matt Busby’s era.

Remarkably, since the start of the Premier League in 1992, United have only lost four of their final matches of the year. They have won 20.

The chances are that United will be without Marcus Rashford against Newcastle, and he could end up being a huge miss for the Red Devils.

As the above record shows, Rashford has a superb goal record during the final Premier League matches of each year.

He scored in last year’s 2-1 defeat to Forest and has scored five goals in the last six years.
